the “F” family

Let me take you on a quick journey…

It starts in 4th grade (ish) when I meet a friend named Elizabeth/Liz/Lizzy. Fast forward through a few high school proms together, attending colleges hours apart, standing by her as she married her best friend, and finally ending up in the same metropolitan area. Over the past 3 years, I’ve had the opportunity to watch one of my best friend’s family grow. I couldn’t be more proud of her beautiful little family 🙂

The Celebration of Yiayia

My friend and co-worker, Andrea, asked if I would photograph her family’s celebration of their beloved Yiayia, who is no longer with them. I was honored that this family welcomed me into their home for such a personal event. Family came from near and far to celebrate and they were blessed with a beautiful day. We did a combination of (homemade) studio and candid shots:

Doug + Nawshin

Doug and Nawshin had a beautiful wedding at the Science Museum in Saint Paul. The detail in her dress was breath taking…I couldn’t get enough of it!! Overall, it was a wonderful celebration and I’m thankful they chose me to be a part of it. Now here’s where I get a little carried away with pictures 🙂

The bridesmaids wore traditional Bangladesh sarees…don’t the colors just POP!

Now that is excitement, Doug 🙂

Congratulations Doug and Nawshin!

Our Little Helper

We had Ryan’s family over for Mother’s Day last Sunday. Lucky for Ry, Hanna (his niece) offered to help him with some yard work 🙂

Then she showed off her new soccer skills…and I’m thinking her new favorite color is pink…what do you think???

Melts my heart 🙂
